We have put together some examples of how you might want to tie your ribbon
around your wedding invitations and a handy little guide to work out how many reels
you'll need to achieve those finishes!
TIED IN A KNOT
We love finishing our invitations in a knot for a nice simple finish
this is also the best if your going to pair it with a wax seal

5X7 INCH INVITE
We recommend using 42cm of silk ribbon per wedding invitation

A5 INVITE
We recommend using 50cm of silk ribbon per wedding invitation
TIED IN A BOW
Finishing your wedding invitations with a silk bow is a super cute way to finish off your wedding invitations

5X7 INCH INVITE
We recommend using 59.5cm of silk ribbon per wedding invitation

A5 INVITE
We recommend using 85cm ofsilk ribbon per wedding invitation
HOW TO WORK IT OUT
Most of our reels come in 5 meter lengths (500cm)
so you can work out the amount of reels depending on how many invites you are doing by doing the following sum:
500cm divided by 59.5cm or 85cm ( depending on invite size ) = How many invites you’ll get from each reel
-
Amount of invites you are tying ribbon around divided by the amount from the first sum
-
Example we are tying 50 5x7 invites
-
500cm divided by 59.5cm = 8.4 ( so 8 invites per reel with some spare)
50 divided by 8 = 6.25
So you will need 7 reels of ribbon to tie all your invites.
