Adding an envelope liner is a simple yet effective way to elevate your stationery, making your invitations feel extra special. Follow these steps to ensure a clean and professional finish:
What You’ll Need:
Envelope liner
Envelope
Glue stick, double-sided tape, or adhesive roller
Bone folder (optional, for a crisp finish)

Step One: Insert the Liner
Slide the liner into the envelope, aligning it with the flap crease and glue tabs. Make sure it sits evenly within the envelope.

Step Two: Fold the Liner
Close the envelope over the liner and press along the crease to create a fold. This ensures the liner bends naturally with the envelope.
~
OPTIONAL: Use a bone folder for a crisp finish.

Step Three: Apply Adhesive
Lift the liner’s flap and apply glue, double-sided tape, or an adhesive roller to the back of the liner, focusing on the upper portion (above the crease). Avoid applying adhesive to the lower part to allow for natural movement.

Carefully press the liner onto the envelope flap, smoothing out any air bubbles or wrinkles. Use a bone folder or your fingers to ensure a firm bond.

Allow a few minutes for the adhesive to dry before sealing the envelope.
